Just because a person is following a low carb diet does not mean that they cannot enjoy some good food. They can still enjoy a good burger and have some cheese and other low carb condiments on their meal. There are many alternatives to the bun that can be used.   • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup riced cauliflower (purchased rice or riced on your own)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 lbs low fat ground beef
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper



Mix the ground beef with the salt and the pepper. Shape into patties. The hamburgers can be grilled or they can be cooked in the skillet depending on your preferences. They will take around 8 minutes per side.

When making the waffles preheat the waffle maker so that it gets warm before use. It is important to have the waffle iron preheated so that the mixture will cook quickly and will not burn.

Mix the eggs, cauliflower, mozzarella, Parmesan, and cheddar cheeses. The mixture will be rather thick and will look like regular waffle batter. The cheese and the cauliflower will cause the mixture to be thick.

Once the waffle maker is heated up put the batter in the center. This will help it cook evenly. Depending on the model, the waffle maker may need to be greased using cooking spray. Be sure to read the instructions that came with the waffle maker before use.

When purchasing the premade burger patties make sure they are all beef and do not have fillers such as breadcrumbs that can add to the carb content. This is a great low carb treat.
